My Story
G.D hails from the hallowed land of Wales, where he has fond memories of growing up by the sea and spending the endless summer days on the water and staying out until the sun went down. This was a good thing in Wales, as it didn't tend to get dark until midnight in the middle of summer!

In 1992, G.D attended university in Manchester, England and completed a degree in Computer Science before moving to Nottingham in 1997, where he completed a Masters in Operations Management and Manufacturing systems and, not yet wanting to work, decided to stay on and complete a PhD in Virtual Reality, Design and Development.

It was at Nottingham where he met his future wife and a year later, in 2005, the two of them moved to New Zealand, where they explored the islands on motorcycles and G.D worked in the video game industry while teaching Scuba Diving at the weekends. After answering a seemingly inconspicuous email for a job, in California, they decided to "give the US a try for one year" and, almost fourteen years later, they're still there.

in 2012 they welcomed their son to the world and they now live in Redondo Beach along with Rhea, their fun-loving and quirky German Shepherd, who became the inspiration for G.D's first educational book.

G.D has always loved writing and having worked with children for a number of years, he noticed that one of the best ways children learned subjects, was through stories. That is why his first educational book; ABC's with Rhea - a Doggie journey through the alphabet, expands on the traditional "A is for Apple" and "B is for Ball" approach by crafting the words into a specific world, which aims to provide children with a stimulus they can relate to. This encourages them to learn and to get them interested in striving onward to hopefully create words and stories for themselves .
